Waterproof/watertight readymix concrete is specially formulated to keep the water in or out for applications such as cellars or swimming pools.
What is waterproof concrete from Base Minimix?
Base Minimix waterproof concrete is designed to meet the requirements of waterproofing as defined in BS8102 (all grades). From swimming pools where you want to keep the water in to waterproofed underground construction wher the water needs to be kept out, our waterproof, watertight concretes offer durable performance.
Our waterproof readymix concrete is naturally porous due to its capillaries forming migratory paths for water to pass through. This porosity can be reduced by adding special active components which block these capillaries, effectively sealing the concrete permanently against the penetration of water and harmful chemicals.
Waterproof concrete from Base Minimix concrete can eliminate the need for additional membranes or finishes.
